Don’t Kill My Dream, Please…

Many of us have destroyed our dreams before we even start our first step. Occasionally, we believe what others are telling us “These things never happen in real life” without questioning. And we ended up by gaining nothing but procrastination, fatigue, and regret.

Someone told me that it is human nature to stay comfortable and resist the notion of hard work, but I don’t agree with him because for me, it is our choice whether to do or not to do. If you have a dream to be fulfilled, here you go:

  1. Turn imagination into reality – before start a project, I usually imagine how the result looks like and what kind of emotional connection I wanted to create. My favorite quote from Albert Einstein: Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere. Why imagination matters? Because it opens our minds up to creative and unique things that drive to achieve our goals. It is a road map tells us about what we want to achieve, how to do it, and what steps we need to take. Every successful business, invention, and architecture, started off as an idea, and then as a mental image in the mind of their creators. They strive for as far as in their imagination as possible, but take action and make adjustments along the way. A great imagination will allow us to open our minds up to dynamic and creative things that do not limit us by physical boundaries or our self doubts.
  2. Find ways to realize it – We need ingredients, funding, network, skills, accommodation, mental supports, etc. to make the unexpected happens. So, we can take advantage of the internet, where a plethora of relevant services and learning resources awaiting us to explore. All we need is patience before we finally arrive at the useful page that we wanted. We can use Internet to create networks, generate financial supports, gain some nuggets of knowledge from learning a language to attend a virtual interactive course conducted by renowned professors in the world. The good news is most of the online resources are free of charge and available to anyone with internet access. Which means we have no excuse saying that we are not excel in something and give up chasing our dreams.
  3. Surround ourselves with people who have made it – Unless we’re the pioneer in our niche, otherwise we certainly can find someone who is doing the similar work as we want to do. Through networking, we can soak up a lot of knowledge and inspiration with these successful people in our field. Most of the time, this helps our expertise grow in phenomenal ways and shoot down some of the negative inner dialogue in our minds. Interaction with these people through face-to-face or social media can build up our network and provide opportunities that we’d not otherwise have in the past.
  4. Fake it till we make it – If we feel hesitant about our abilities, perhaps the best way to achieve our goal is to try to act like we’re already there. The more extroverted we act, the more we know what we should and shouldn’t do along the way of being a successful people in our industry. This will subconsciously pull our potentials towards our short term goals and over a long term period of time it can help fulfill our dreams.
  5. Start doing! – Take action within 5 seconds is the golden rule of success. Every success takes time to practice before we finally get to the top, so breaking down a big goal into achievable goals is crucial for a long run. Basically, if we focus on smaller goals constantly for a long period, it will become a habit as we get used to it, rather than starting with an overly ambitious goal and give up within three weeks. Consistency is the key point behind every success story. Do not give any excuse, but work on it every day. Every time we failed, learn from it and keep trying and we will get there at the end. So, never give up no matter how many times you fail along the way.
When I have eliminated all the ways that will not work, I will find the way that will work. ~ ~Thomas Edison

  1. Your dream will be fulfilled by a former like me. Dark, forced march towards your destiny, your dream … Especially do not look back. Works on your blog. Spread this blog for readers, not for you.
In a word easier to read, landmarks, traffic.
There are cities where one is lost, other cities where it is impossible to get lost …
Always follow the user. Even in stores, you put ground arrows to guide the customer, walker toward the exit.
In a blog, the reader knows not to get lost, stay and return …
